BROTHER.
The middle of seven children, Sean was famous for his impromptu dances in the middle of the kitchen and tight hugs.
SPARTAN.
Sean graduated from St. Mark’s High School in 2012. He was vice president of student council, homecoming king, and part of the 2012 Spartan State Championship team. During his senior year, he was voted “Best All Around” and “Best Smile.”
FRIEND.
Sean adored his friends more than anything. Whether it was golfing, spending time in Dewey, or just grabbing a bite to eat. Sean was always surrounded by the people he loved.
BLUE HEN.
One of Sean’s proudest moments was with the UD basketball team as a member of the 2013-2014 CAA Conference Championship team and play in March Madness. He was named captain his senior year.
BUCCINI POLLIN GROUP.
In 2017, Sean became a member of the BPG family. As a property manager, Sean loved that each day of work was a new adventure. He was passionate about working for such a dynamic company.
PERSON WITH DEPRESSION.
While Sean was so many things to so many people, he also was someone with depression.
Sean lost his battle with depression in July 2018.
SL:24: UNLOCKE THE LIGHT.
Sean’s life and death touched so many people. In his spirit, the Locke family has created the SL24: Unlocke the Light Foundation. The movement has three goals…
EDUCATE.
SL24 is rooted in educating high school and college students. By working to remove the stigma of depression, SL24 will make resources available to students battling depression.
ASSIST. SL24 will assist high school and college athletes with the transition from a life of sports to a life free from depression or with the tools to manage their depression.
SUPPORT.
SL24 plans to create a safe haven where high school and college students can receive professional help. Students will be able to speak with peers about their struggles with depression and the threat of suicide.
